David Zacharisen, JD
CEO
Mr. Zacharisen started his career in the
information technology department at Mountain Bell, concentrating in
data base administration and data base design.
Subsequently, he received a law degree from New York University
subsequent to which he counseled high tech and other companies in a wide variety of fields, including
finance, corporate formation and transactions and taxation. He co-founded Genii Research in 2004

Paul Kerness, MSW, LSW, MCP
CTO
Mr. Kerness started his career as in social work and became involved in implementing
technology solutions for non-profit organizations. He has pioneered matching non-profit organizations with
distributed technologies for over ten years. Together with David Zacharisen, they formed Genii Research
with the goal of being able to deliver low-cost distributed and on-line technologies to the SMB community as
well as to small to medium non-profit organizations. Mr. Kerness remains committed to the non-profit
world believing that technology is the key component of delivering high quality services at an affordable
